Boone Police have identified the suspect captured in a Boone break-in yesterday afternoon. The drama began in the early afternoon when a woman returned home to her Creekside Lane home and found the man inside, a man police said fled out the back. The woman called Boone Police as the suspect jumped into a red BMW and fled the scene, striking her car in the process. Thinking quickly, she followed to the end of Creekside, seeing that the suspect turned right, heading to where there were only dead-end streets.  Boone Police, converging on the scene, checked the area for the vehicle, and found it at the dead end of Chase Hill Drive. The suspect, 25-year old Jonathan Glenn Pleasant was arrested still in his car, headed off by the water of New River tributary that flows through the area.  Jonathan Glenn Pleasant is charged with  felony Breaking and Entering, felony Larceny After Breaking and Entering, and misdemeanor hit and run.  He was held in the Watauga County detention center under a $10,000 secured bond pending a November 21st court date.
