The Appalachian State University Mountaineers’ third
consecutive national championship title is still reason for celebration in
Instead of holding up three fingers, fans are now holding up four
fingers. While David Jackson, Voice of the Mountaineers, is optimistic, he says
we should concentrate on one victory at a time.
“Hopefully everyone will understand the magnitude of what
this means and that it’s very, very difficult, even though this team has made it
look very easy, it’s very difficult to do this once, much less three times, so
hopefully we can enjoy it for awhile, then start preparing for what we hope is
a fourth try in Chattanooga next December.”
