The Appalachian State University Mountaineers have done it again.

For the third consecutive year in a row, the Mountaineers take home the FCS National title, 49-21. The Mountaineers will return to Boone tomorrow having accomplished the impossible. It’s been a historic year for the Mountaineers. They made history in September as the first FCS program to defeat a division one ranked team. The Michigan victory put the Mountaineers and Boone on the map. From there it was an uphill battle with two losses, one to Wofford and one to Georgia Southern. Now they have an unprecedented third consecutive national title thanks to today's Delaware victory. In Chattanooga- fans are rushing the field. In Boone fans are streaming towards Kidd Brewer Stadium. Congratulations, Mountaineers!
