BOONE: Halftime! PDF Print
Friday, 14 December 2007 16:55
The following is a personal editorial and does not reflect the views or opinions of Aisling Broadcasting or GOBLUERIDGE.NET.

Lauren Ohnesorge here- Jon Freeman and James Jestes may be living it up in Chattanooga- but the crowd in Boone tonight proves you don't have to be in Tennessee to get excited. You don't even have to know anything about football! The yells from the crowd give you a pretty good idea of what's going on- and that we're winning. As the Aisling team knows, I'm more of a baseball fan- but not tonight. Tonight I'm yelling with the best of them- or trying to... When they yell first down, I yell first down- and it feels pretty good to all yell the same thing.  I'm feeling super-football savvy. A game like this is a fan equalizer- it doesn't matter if you don't know what a red zone is- as long as you yell "three-peat" at the right time, you're included- and it's fantastic.

K.C. Keeler (Delaware coach) doesn't look happy. Keeler's a great coach- but his patience appears to be waning. Jerry Moore's keeping it serious. We're in half-time- so I can hear myself type for the first time all night.

Ashley's taking plenty of pictures so that even if you're home sick with the flu- you can be a part of what promises to be a great night.

Coming at you from BOONE... and Jon, just want you and James to know that Boone's having just as much fun- and we don't have a six-hour drive to look forward to...
