Red Cross needs your help to help PDF Print
Thursday, 13 December 2007 18:00

While the American Red Cross’ Caldwell branch was able to assist a Gamewell family that lost their home yesterday, without community support, the future is uncertain, David Garrison says.

“After a fire we’re providing the people with a place to stay, getting them emergency clothing, emergency food and those kinds of things.”

These things take money, however- money that the Red Cross simply doesn’t have right now.

“We’ve spent more in the first six months this year than we have in any complete year so far.”

Yesterday’s fire off Ollis Place left a family of five homeless. Red Cross assisted with hotel vouchers.
