Mountaineers go for Three-peat tonight PDF Print
Thursday, 13 December 2007 18:00

The NCAA Division 1 Football Championship between Appalachian State University and the University of Delaware happens tonight.

Tune in to WATA, WMMY and MAC FM at 4 for pre-game coverage.

A third consecutive National title win is unprecedented- but so was September’s victory over Michigan.

Quarterback Armanti Edwards says pressure’s up from September.

“Being in the playoffs is where we want to be. If we would have lost to Michigan, you know, nobody would have cared because they didn’t really expect us to win.”

Coach Jerry Moore says his team can handle pressure- they’ve been here before- twice.

“Once you get into the playoffs you get into a routine too. You really don’t expect a break. I mean, you know what you want to get done, you want to go do it right.”

He’s hoping that the Mountaineers will “do it right” tonight against the Blue Hens.
