Junaluska explosives: Property owner in the dark PDF Print
Thursday, 13 December 2007 18:00
Boone Police Captain William Greene believes the owner of an abandoned home on Junaluska Road had no knowledge of the possible explosive material it contained.
The investigation is ongoing as to who put the materials in the home. An anonymous tip led Boone Police Officers and the Wilkes County Bomb Squad to search the home earlier this week after an anonymous tip. Officials discovered a rifle and what could be explosives. The materials are currently being tested to determine if they’re actually explosives. Testing could take several days.
