Mountaineers in Chattanooga PDF Print
Tuesday, 11 December 2007 19:19
Appalachian State University’s Mountaineer football team is in Chattanooga.  The buses left Boone yesterday evening. We caught up with sophomore star Armanti Edwards after the final home practice before the National Championship game against the Delaware Blue Hens Friday.

How excited is he?

“Very excited, you know. This was our goal coming into the playoffs. We’ve just got to come out with a win.”

Edwards says the Mountaineers’ strategy is not going to change.

“The same strategy that we had in playoff-mode:  We don’t turn the ball over. It’s pretty hard to beat a team without a turnover.”

Coach Jerry Moore says defense has been improving. Moore called yesterday’s practice a success, and says a successful practice means a successful ball game.
