Consulting company to look at NC Highway Patrol PDF Print
Tuesday, 11 December 2007 19:15

A consulting company has been hired to conduct an in-depth review of the North Carolina Highway Patrol, the Associated Press reports.

Officials announced yesterday that international consulting firm Kroll Inc. will be conducting the $98,000 review, evaluating the agency’s hiring, training and promoting policies.

Governor Mike Easley ordered the review earlier this year after several state troopers resigned or were fired for misconduct during a two-month period. Officials say an outside agency is necessary to ensure an independent review.
