A South Carolina woman was injured when a deer crashed into her minivan as she and three others were traveling through Foscoe late yesterday afternoon.  Catherine Charles of Hartsville, SC, was driving the 2011 Honda Odyssey when the deer collided with the front of the vehicle, Trooper Townsend saying that the animal landed on the windshield of the van, crashing the windshield in on Charles. Foscoe first responders had to work to get the smashed windshield off of Charles before Watauga Medics could take her to Watauga Medical Center, but Townsend said that injuries were not life-threatening.
