Tool Thefts from Avery, Watauga PDF Print

Last Wednesday, June 19th, investigators with the Avery County Sheriff’s Office received a report of stolen property held by 24-year old Jesse Moody of Newland.  Investigators found Moody at a construction site in Newland, and after interviewing Moody, the Investigators recovered power tools taken from another construction site in Watauga County as well as some power equipment taken from Moody’s employer.  Investigators also found Moody to be in Possession of Schedule IV drugs and Marijuana and paraphernalia.  Moody was later arrested and set a $5000.00 bond at the Avery County Jail.  Jesse Moody is charged with several drug charges as well as Larceny by Employee.  The theft of the tools from Watauga County is still under investigation.
