Swift Water Rescue Mounted in Sugar Grove PDF Print

Watauga Rescue and fire departments in the area were called to mount a swift water rescue late yesterday afternoon, that after a canoe capsized on the Watauga River, and a man found himself stranded on the far side of the river.  The call came in just after 5 yesterday afternoon, with rescuers dispatched to Mastmead Road off of NC 194 North.  The man was said to not be injured in the mishap, and shortly after rescuers arrived, the man was taken to the safety of the road side of the river.
