Three Avery Men Arrested on FTA Warrants PDF Print

Officers with the Avery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of wanted person seen last Thursday at a set of apartments off Beech Mountain Parkway.  Officers responding to the location found 22 year old Anthony Bullock, wanted on numerous outstanding warrants. Those charges included four felony probation violations from Avery County, two misdemeanor charges from McDowell County, one misdemeanor charge from Mitchell County, one misdemeanor probation charge from Avery County and one felony drug charge from Avery County.  Bullock was placed on a $76,000.00 bond at the Avery County Jail.  

Last Wednesday, officers with the Avery County Sheriff’s Office arrested 41 year old Johnny Bowman of Elk Park Highway, after officers had been called to a residence with a complaint that a man was refusing to leave when asked by the occupant of the house.  Officers identified Bowman and arrested him on outstanding warrants, including child support and a warrant for Failure to Appear on a Felony drug charge.  Bowman was placed in the Avery County Jail.  His total bond was over $11,000.00.  

And last Monday, Officers with the Avery County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29 year old Oscar Cook of Elk Park.  Cook was charged with Failure to Appear on Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule III drug.  Cook was being held at the Rutherford County Jail when arrested by Avery Officers.  Cook was placed in the Avery County Jail on a $15,000.00 bond.
