Numerous Mountain City Meth Arrests PDF Print

The Johnson County’s Sheriff’s office reports multiple arrests for conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine were made May 28th after a lengthy investigation involving the Johnson County’s Sheriff’s Department, the Department of Drug Enforcement Administration, United States Marshals and the Counter Drug Task Force. The arrests include federal indictments against a number of Mountain City area residents;  Heather Michelle Eller, 29; Lance Douglas Hammons, 41, Billy Edward Hartness, 34; Brittany Lynn Howard, 22; Benjamin Travis Morefield, 32; and Debbie Lynn Snyder, 34, along with Gerald Dean Campbell, 42, of Shady Valley. All were taken to Washington County Center for processing and then taken to Greeneville, Tennessee, according to the release. The Sheriff’s Office also said that five individuals that are currently held in the Johnson County jail and other local detention centers will have detainers placed upon them and will be picked up by United States Marshals, including Mountain City residents Janet Lee Bunting, 44; Stacy Theo Snyder, 43; Johnny Glenn Reece II, 31; Aaron Allen Stout;, and Terence Lee Turnmire, 30.
