Trailer fire leaves family out in the cold PDF Print

A fire destroyed a mobile home Monday night, leaving six people homeless.

The residence was located off Pleasant Hill Road in the North Catawba Fire district. Initially, firefighters thought people were inside the residence. That was not the case, however, and firefighters launched an interior and exterior attack on the blaze. . Officials say the fire started in the kitchen where the home’s occupants were use a cooking stove for heat. The home was valued at $10,000.

The Red Cross is assisting the family.
