Wednesday, 14 November 2007 05:44
It’s official, Currituck’s Keith Eades will be the new superintendent of Avery County Schools when Grace Calhoun retires next year.  Called “a very nice gentleman” by Avery County Schools staff, Eades has been an assistant superintendent in Currituck County since 2001. A former science teacher and assistant principal, Eades has taught at all three levels: elementary, middle and high school. Out of 17 applicants, 8 were interviewed. Eades’ selection was approved at last night’s Board of Education meeting.
