Some of the High Country’s finest gathered Saturday at the
Broyhill for good food and wine- and it was all for charity.
Peabody’s 29th Anniversary Charity Wine Tasting
Expo featured dozens of selections from all over the world. Some of the
proceeds will benefit the Watauga Education Foundation. With ticket prices at
just under $50 and the Powers Ballroom filled with wine enthusiasts, it’s
obvious the event was a success. North Carolina vineyards were among those
featured- including Shelton Vineyards. Casa Rustica and the Best Cellar were
among the caterers, and council members-elect Liz Aycock and Stephen Phillips
were among those gathered to taste.
