Wear orange in the woods PDF Print
Thursday, 08 November 2007 20:40

The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission wishes to remind hunters that in North Carolina they are required to wear blaze orange in the woods.

The garment must be visible from all sides when hunting bear, deer, wild boar, rabbit, squirrel, grouse, pheasant or quail with a firearm. Outdoorsmen are encouraged to wear orange through February to alert hunters to their presence. In case of injury, blaze orange apparel makes it easier for rescuers to find victims. For more information on hunter safety, visit www.ncwildlife.org.
