Blowing Rock incumbent falls PDF Print
Tuesday, 06 November 2007 17:07

Unofficial results say incumbent Blowing Rock councilman Rita Wiseman is out of the race.

Albert Yount took the majority with 302 unofficial votes, followed by Phillip Pickett with 198 votes, Patsy Fountain with 155 votes and Rita Wiseman with 137 votes. Don’t think you’ve seen the last of Wiseman. We spoke with Wiseman Monday before the election- and she promised even if the election didn’t go her way, that she’d be active in the town.

“It’s such a great town, I’ll always be a part of Blowing Rock,” she said.

Uncontested mayor J.B. Lawrence received 317 votes.
