Tennessee fugitive Robert Randall DeLuca is back in custody-
and faces additional charges from Boone Police Department.
DeLuca is alleged to
have jumped the fence of a Johnson County detention center last month. He was
apprehended last Thursday in a vehicle that may have been stolen from North
Friday he was charged in a completely separate incident- the
theft of a 1997 Dodge truck.
Boone Police say the truck was stolen between July 13
and July 20, before DeLuca was taken into Johnson County custody for
methamphetamine and assault charges. The vehicle was recovered on July 25 near
Old Slabtown Road in Watauga County. DeLuca was placed on $5,000 bond in addition to the $250,000 bond
already holding him.
