Johnson County Fugitive Caught PDF Print
Thursday, 01 November 2007 19:00

mugshot.jpg48-year-old Robert Randall DeLuca is back in custody.

DeLuca has been on the run since jumping the fence of a Johnson County detention center on October 13. DeLuca was being held on charges that included manufacturing methamphetamine, assaulting a police officer and vandalizing county property. He will now face escape charges. Few details have been released, but Aisling Broadcasting has been told that DeLuca was apprehended in Watauga County last night.

Johnson County Sheriff Mike Reece told Aisling Broadcasting last month that several phone calls DeLuca made in prison pointed to Watauga as a likely destination. Reece has said repeatedly that it was only a matter of time before DeLuca was caught.

Watauga County Sheriff’s Office plans to send out a press release sometime this morning with more details.

Stay tuned and visit for more information as it becomes available.
