Lowes CEO Robert Niblock was in Boone yesterday, speaking to Appalachian State University students and area professionals about his successful career.  Sponsored by the Walker College of Business, the event wasn’t just about education. According to Chancellor Kenneth Peacock, the lecture and reception gave Niblock the opportunity to get to know ASU. Students have gained a valuable contact in Niblock. Niblock agreed- his company is always looking for industrious graduates. The lecture was the 40th in the Boyles Distinguished CEO Lecture series. State Treasurer Richard Moore was also on hand- and, both Peacock and Niblock were pleased with the event’s success.
