Skull Pails Recalled PDF Print
Monday, 22 October 2007 19:00
Candy isn’t the only thing parents have to watch out for this Halloween:
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled 55,000 treat pails last week. The Skull Pails, filled with “Halloween Candy Mix,” were manufactured by R.L. Albert & Son of Greenwich Connecticut, manufactured in China, and sold in retail stores nationwide from September to last week for $2. The Commission says the surface paint on the eyes, nose and teeth of the skull contains excessive levels of lead. Consumers have been told to immediately take the Skull Pails away from children and take them back to the retailer for a refund. Anyone with questions should call Albert’s toll-free hot-line at (866) 796-6110.
