Boone Town Council members partially approved a proposal to relocate a sewer line at Kidd Brewer Stadium at last night’s town council meeting

The proposal calls for the removal or abandonment of the current four-inch clay sewer main, which services the East stands at Kidd Brewer Stadium, and to establish a new State required eight-inch sewer line underneath Stadium Drive.

A cost-sharing feature of the proposal between Appalachian State and the Town of Boone, was discussed by the council but not approved until further discussion.

According to Greg Lovins, Interim Vice Chancellor for Business Affairs at ASU,  the existing four-inch clay sewer line, now located on ASU property, cannot accommodate the proposed East stands seating increase.

Appalachian football posted record crowds for home games this season with a record high 28,802 on Sept. 8th vs. Lenoir-Rhyne and 27,104 on Sept. 15th vs. Northern Arizona.
