Two Ashe County residents are accused of selling illegal mushrooms, deputies say.
22-year-old William Allen Barker of Laurel Springs and 18 year-old Audrey Lynn Miller of Jefferson both face several charges, including selling and delivering a Schedule 1 controlled substance. The arrests came out of an eight-week long investigation conducted by both Ashe County and Alleghany County sheriff’s offices. The investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending against both suspects in Alleghany County.
