|Trio Arrested in Caldwell Break-Ins|

The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three suspects that have been involved in numerous break ins in the Patterson area of the county. Investigators develop these suspects’ months ago and have been working hard to build strong cases against them.
Once the evidence was obtained and warrants were issued the information was passed along to the patrol division who this past weekend were able to locate and capture Jethro Joseph Hamby. Once Mr. Hamby was in custody Investigators arrested Dusty Ray Whisnant and Jessica Mozelle Ford.
Captain Brain Bennett stated that these three suspects were working together and had committed numerous larcenies in the county. “These folks are career criminals that prey on the hard working citizens of the county”
Sheriff Alan Jones stated that he is proud of the investigators and patrol personnel who worked hard to build strong cases and capture these three individuals. “Our officers are committed to making our communities safe and work hard to keep these predators off the streets of our county.”
Arrested were: Jessica Mozelle Ford, white female, 26 years of age. She is charged with one count of Obtaining Property by False Pretense and was released on a $1,000.00 secured bond and released after posting bond.
Dusty Ray Whisnant, white male, 24 years of age. He is charged with Obtaining Property by False Pretense and Possession of Stolen Property. He is in custody of the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $20,000.00 secured bond with a court date of July 26, 2012 in District Court of Lenoir.
Jethro Joseph Hamby, white male 28 years of age. He is charged with 3 counts of Breaking and Entering, 3 counts of Larceny, 3 counts of Possession of Stolen Property, one count of Felony Probation Violation, and 2 counts of Obtaining Property by False Pretense. Mr. Hamby is in custody of the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $35,000.00 secured bond with court dates of August 13, 2012 and September 10, 2012.
All three suspects live in the Patterson area of Caldwell County. Additional charges are expected in these cases.
