Shelter 'something NC should be proud to see' PDF Print
Sunday, 14 October 2007 20:45

Avery County Humane Society director Alice Sudderth would appreciate some support at today’s Commissioner meeting.

Finalizing plans for a new location at Heritage Park is on the agenda.

The new facility promises to be everything Sudderth has hoped for- "something North Carolina should be proud to see," she says.

The shelter may even get its own veterinarian.

If approved, the new shelter could be open by 2009.

Sudderth expects the Commissioner's approval.

Sudderth encourages supporters to come to today’s 3:30 meeting in the Commissioners’ Boardroom in Newland.
