A Lansing man was killed when his motorcycle slammed into a turning pickup truck on NC 194 Saturday evening.  The wreck occurred just after 6pm in front of the Cottage House Restaurant, according to the state patrol, who identified the motorcyclist as Adam Eric Trippe of Lansing. Trippe, who would have been 27 next month, was dead on the scene after slamming into the turning 2002 Chevy pickup that Jefferson resident Bobby James Testerman was driving, but there were no other injuries reported.  NC 194 was closed for some time as the accident was under investigation, traffic diverted over Deep Ford Road by the Lansing Fire Department. The SHP says they have issued no charges as the accident remains under investigation.
