CDC officials warn the public to be wary of pot pies that could contain a dangerous strain of Salmonella.

The CDC recommends against eating any Banquet pot pies or pot pies made by ConAgra Foods that have a printed code ending in “P9.” Other brands of pot pies made in the ConAgra Foods factory may also be contaminated. Consumers with questions about these products are encouraged to contact the ConAgra hotline at 866-484-8671.

Symptoms of Salmonella include diarrhea, fever and abdominal cramps.
