Parsons sentenced PDF Print
Tuesday, 09 October 2007 23:46
Former Wilkesboro police chief Gary Parsons has been convicted of three counts of felony stalking and related charges.
Parsons was sentenced to 90 days house arrest and five years of probation. Parsons admitted an Alford plea in Wilkes Superior Court that allows a defendant to be convicted without admitting guilt. The charges stem from incidents in late 2006 and early 2007, involving a former girlfriend. In March of 2006, Parsons was convicted of six misdemeanors over allegations related to using public property for his own use. The town fired Parsons in connection with the misdemeanor charges.
