A Special Tribute to Doc Watson has been added to Mountain Home Music's Rural Roots-Mountain Songs concert on Saturday, June 2nd. The tribute will be led by Steve Lewis (guitar/banjo) and Scott Freeman (fiddle/mandolin). Like many Appalachian musicians, Steve and Scott were inspired by Doc. They also had the good fortunate to play music with him and to call him friend.
On the program area Dana and Susan Robinson, from Marshall, NC, are two guitar-playing, banjo-frailing, fiddle-sawing, and harmony-singing interpreters of the American experience.Their unique blend of contemporary songwriting and traditional Appalachian music reflects a deep understanding of America's musical heritage. They tour throughout the U.S and the United Kingdom. This will be their first appearance on MHM.  Performance will be  tonight, 8:00 pm, at Blowing Rock School Auditorium.
