Gas Gap Increases as Prices Drop PDF Print

Gas prices took a tumble over the last two days, as reported by a number of readers, who sent reports and photos to the site.  But as our prices have fallen a bit, prices off the mountain continue to fall even faster and more dramatically, leaving us even more behind. Reports from two readers said they bought gas in Marion for $3.21.9 for regular, making the gap in gas prices even larger—now 40 cents per gallon. Trish was one of those who reported the Marion price, also noting that Elizabethton Tennessee regular gas was at $3.31.9 while sending photos of Avery gas prices from last night, prices finally under $3.70.   Boone prices dropped yesterday to $3.61.9 at the Wilco Hess and this morning to $3.63.9 at the Kangaroo Express, both on Blowing Rock Road. Meanwhile, a Foscoe reader reported the Wilco Hess was still at $3.76.9.
