One-stop voting over: On to Election Day PDF Print
Monday, 08 October 2007 06:37

Watauga County Board of Elections is gearing up for Boone Election Day tomorrow.

There’s a lot to do, says director Jane Hodges.

"We are giving out our supplies to our precinct workers. They are retaining custody of the ballots that will be used tomorrow," Hodges said.

1,119 totals votes have already happened thanks to mail-ins and one-stop voting. The last municipal election in Boone had just over 800 voters total.

"I think the people are very concerned, probably about all of the issues, and concerned about the town of Boone, and I'm happy that we're seeing more interest in this election," Hodges said.

Election Day is tomorrow. Board of Elections personnel can be reached at 828-265-8061.
