Steep Slope lawsuit withdrawn PDF Print
Monday, 08 October 2007 06:17

A lawsuit against Boone’s Steep Slope Ordinance has been withdrawn.

The suit, filed by Committee for Responsible Environmental Regulation chair Jeff Templeton, took issue with the development regulations.

"So much time has been put into this and I'm just very excited to see that the suit that was against the town has been dismissed," Mayor Loretta Clawson said.

The suit was withdrawn by the Committee for Responsible Environmental Regulation in light of new evidence submitted in an affidavit by development services director John Spear. Templeton felt his affidavit raised an issue that required more attention in their claim and they withdrew it with plans to re-file in the very near future.
