ASU: Armed robbery: A conspiracy PDF Print
Monday, 08 October 2007 05:47

Appalachian State University Police Chief Gunther Doerr is calling last week’s armed robbery a conspiracy.

Police initially charged 17-year-old freshman Mu-Tse Michael Lin in the incident. Friday, three additional ASU freshmen were charged- all passengers of the vehicle Lin allegedly robbed.

At approximately 9 p.m. on October 1, police were told a black male in his mid-20s with a handgun jumped in front of a car leaving the Greenwood Parking lot. Three wallets were taken in the incident, from three of the five vehicle occupants.

Police now say those three men were in on the heist, and that led to the phony suspect description. Those men are 19-year-old Justin Lee Boles and 18-year-old Christopher Wright Brown of Weaverville and 18-year-old Shawn Michael Connor of Ferguson. The three were charged with conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
