Woman Injured in Meat Camp Wreck PDF Print

A rear-end collision late yesterday afternoon sent a woman to Watauga Medical Center, but mostly to be checked out, according to the state patrol.  The 5:10pm accident was near the DOT facility on NC 194 North, and occurred when Anna Turner slowed for turning traffic, and her 2007 Hyundai was struck in the rear by Caleb Hamby’s ’94 Toyota 4 Runner.  Hamby, 17, of Bob’s Mountain Road, was not hurt, but Anna Turner suffered some injuries, the 63-year old Meat Camp Road woman taken by Watauga Medics to Watauga Medical Center for evaluation.  Caleb Hamby was cited by the state patrol for Failure to Reduce Speed.
