Watauga gears up for Boone Election PDF Print
Tuesday, 02 October 2007 19:00

One stop voting is going on right now at the Watauga County Board of Elections and the Agricultural Conference Center, and, according to Director Jane Hodges, everything’s going well.

In fact, over five hundred people have already voted this year in the Boone Municipal Election. Two years ago, a total of 800 people voted in the entire election. Hodges is pleased with the turn out- and hopes for even more voters.

Hodges recommends One-stop voting as an easy way to participate in the election.

There's reserved parking, she says- and you can get in and out without dealing with lines she expects on Election Day.

One-stop voting ends on October 6 at 1 p.m. Election Day is October 9.

There’s still time to register for elections in Blowing Rock, Beech Mountain and Seven Devils. Registration closes on October 12, one-stop begins on October 18 and Election Day is November 6.
