Leaf month begins PDF Print
Sunday, 30 September 2007 19:18

Leaves are starting to changeIt’s October, considered by many to be the “leaf month” of the High Country-

and businesses are gearing up for leaf-peeping tourists.

Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce’s Charles Hardin expects a great leaf season.

Unlike the rainy weather that made leaves brown and mold, this year's dry weather should help preserve leaves' colors, he says.

Maple leaves are already turning yellow.

Expect a full palette, and mountains full of tourists, he says.
