SHP: Boone Minister Identified as Wreck Victim PDF Print

The state patrol has identified the motorcyclist injured in a head-on collision Thursday afternoon as a Boone Minister.  Dr. Barry Nealy, of the Three Forks Baptist Association, was the driver of the motorcycle that crashed into a sedan on US 321 Thursday afternoon, according to trooper Searcy. The Three Forks web site is indicating that Nealy is in intensive care at the Johnson City Medical Center, that after he was airlifted from near the site of the 2:20pm crash, just past the Bethel Road intersection.  Beaver dam volunteer firefighters closed down the highway as they found the cyclist initially unconscious, but he soon regained consciousness, and was regaining feeling in his arms and legs, and was completely conscious as the ambulance met with a WINGS Air Rescue chopper on the river bridge on 321.
