Two candidates to step down: Officially PDF Print
Wednesday, 26 September 2007 19:00
Boone Town Council candidates Rob Taylor and Kevin Freeman are holding a press conference tonight to formally announce that they are no longer running for office. The loft section of the restaurant has been reserved from 7:30 to 9 p.m., and the announcement is expected at 8 p.m. The two are expected to also announce their endorsements of incumbent Mayor Loretta Clawson, incumbent Council candidates Lynne Mason and Bunk Spann, and Council candidate Liz Aycock. Taylor said several candidates should be present for the announcement. The conference was originally scheduled for Tuesday at Boone Saloon, but extenuating circumstances forced the candidates to reschedule. Taylor does not expect these plans to change.
