A day after the public meeting on the Daniel Boone Park area of Boone, The Boone Town Council had on their agenda the official request by the Southern Appalachian Historical Association—SAHA—to lease the Horn in the West Property for another 25 years. Councilman Rennie Brantz, suggested a one year lease, but Council member Andy Ball motioned to table the discussion until April, and that passed in a split vote that tabled.
