1 Arrest, 1 Still Sought in Monday AM Shooting PDF Print

An arrest has come, a second suspect identified in the shooting of a Watauga County man early yesterday morning. The white SUV seen fleeing Howards Creek road scene was located and a search was conducted of the vehicle. Charges of Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury were then filed, Christopher Curtis Lilly arrested late yesterday and was taken before a Watauga County Magistrate, held under a $50,000.00 bond with a court date of May 17, 2012. The warrant for Tyler Coty Delp is outstanding and he has not been located at this point. If you have any information on Tyler Coty Delp, contact Watauga County Sheriff’s Office at 828-264-3761. This sheriff’s office says incident is still under investigation and additional charges may be forth coming. Daniel Wesley Miller, 33, of Jake Miller Road in Boone,  suffered a gunshot wound to his right hip and right middle finger while in the area of Howards Creek Road near Connelly Road at about 12:15 yesterday morning. Daniel Wesley Miller was rushed to Watauga Medical Center, then airlifted by WINGS Air Rescue to Johnson City Medical Center, but the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office said that his injuries were not life threatening.
