A truck crashed and burned, starting a woods fire last night as a man was slightly injured when his pickup ran off Howard’s Creek Road. The 7:40pm  Saturday night wreck found the truck flipped over after striking trees and catching fire.  First arriving Meat Camp Fire Units had to help the man back to the road and begin treating his minor injuries, while dealing with a spreading woods fire.  The state patrol took over the investigation when two troopers arrived, and identified the driver as Jeremy David Parker o 225 Tater Hill Estates. That investigation found that Parker lost control of the ’98 Chevy pickup traveling up Howards Creek Road near Mulberry Cove Road.  Jeremy David Parker was cited for DWI and exceeding a safe speed in the wreck.
