Fatal Accident in Watauga PDF Print
Monday, 24 September 2007 21:10

Investigators are still looking into the cause of a fatal accident in Watauga yesterday morning.

Troopers say 39-year-old Todd Critcher of Boone was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck at a slow rate of speed near the security guard entrance to Laurelmor Development when it veered to the right, went through a wooden fence and then off an embankment. Critcher died at the scene- but not necessarily of injuries from the accident. He was on his way to work at the development's construction site. Troopers have speculated that a medical condition could have attributed to the incident. An autopsy could happen as early as today Laurelmor Development is off Sampson Road near Blowing Rock.
