Boone Police have made an additional arrest in the February 11th assault of two women in Boone, an incident that started on the lot of the Cook Out restaurant on Blowing Rock Road and ended on the parking lot of an apartment complex. Brooklyn Lacrossa Canter, age 18 of Zionville, turned herself in to Boone Police and was charged with one misdemeanor count of aiding and abetting.  Canter’s charge is based on the allegation that she yelled obscenities at the women and drove the car that followed the women to the site of the attack.  She then transported the suspect, Ketoine Mitchell, the 19-year old Lenoir suspect, away from the scene. He is charged with assaulting the women. Canter was taken before a Watauga County magistrate where she was served, then released on a $1,000 unsecured bond with an April 17th court date.
