A Mountain City man was arrested while visiting someone in a Johnson City hospital, charged with being a fugitive from justice on North Carolina warrants.  According to reports from the Johnson City Police Department, their officers caught up with Joshua Pate, 35, of 611 South Church Street, Mountain City Saturday night at about 11 p.m. Police say Pate was wanted by the North Carolina Department of Corrections on a probation violation. A tip led police to the man’s whereabouts – Johnson City Medical Center where he was allegedly visiting a patient. Pate was charged and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where his bond is set at $10,000. He will appear in court Monday.
