Update on Wilkes Break-in PDF Print
Friday, 21 September 2007 07:09

Wilkes deputies say they know who’s responsible for a break-in on White Plains Road in the Roaring River Community of Wilkes County.

The break-in happened just before noon yesterday, and multiple suspects made away with several weapons. Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office has not elaborated on the types of guns discovered missing.

The victim in the case actually chased the suspects, but lost the vehicle. While arrests have not been made, Captain Steve Cabe says it’s only a matter of time.

"We're reasonably sure that we know who they are," Cabe said.

A red mustang sought in the case is registered to someone in Surry County, where Cabe says the suspects are from. Wilkes and Surry authorities are working together on their investigation. Cabe is confident that this is a case deputies will close.
