Leak at Deck Hill Water Tank: ‘Temporarily fixed’ PDF Print
Thursday, 20 September 2007 10:35

A Boone water leak mentioned in several political ads for Citizens for Change has been addressed, Mayor Loretta Clawson says.

There was a leak, she says- but it's under control.

Divers investigated the Deck Hill tank last week and installed a temporary fix. A more permanent solution is on the agenda.

It was a very small leak that didn't even register, according to Clawson.

According to Citizens for Change Chair Jeff Templeton, his personal measurements found the leak to lose 3 gallons of water a minute. After awhile, that really adds up, he says.

Regardless, town officials say the matter has been addressed, and water is no longer leaking from the Deck Hill water tank.
