A Saturday morning crash injured two people, one admitted to Watauga Medical Center complaining of chest pains. The 7:20am accident occurred as a Landis man drifted left of center on US 221 in Sandy Flats, just out of Blowing Rock, the south-bound ’93 Honda Accord running over a Parkway sign before slamming into a tree. Driver Donald Crisco suffered head lacerations but refused treatment and transportation while the car owner, Misty Woody of Lenoir, was taken by Watauga Medics to Watauga Medical Center and was admitted, according to trooper Hendricks.  He cited Donald Crisco for No Operator’s License and Left of Center in the wreck that totaled the Honda.  Blowing Rock Fire/Rescue were called to the scene to help with the injured and traffic trying to pass through the area.
