A pedestrian—carrying his daughter in his arms— was injured when struck by a car on the lot of Wal-Mart in Wilkesboro Tuesday night—and police are seeking the driver of the car that left the scene.  35-year old Rodney Walker II of Ferguson was taken to Wilkes Regional Medical Center after the 7:40pm incident, but was not seriously hurt. The police report says that Walker was carrying his daughter back to their car after dropping off their shopping cart when a vehicle he had just walked past backed out erratically, striking the two, partially backing over the man who rolled under the car as he was struck. Walker was released after treatment, and there is no indication in the report that the child was hurt, but police are seeking the white female with long blonde hair, possibly wearing glasses and are looking at surveillance video they have of the incident.
